To Stage or Not to StageIt is a mistake to leave a house empty when selling it. I am convinced I have received drastically more money for my houses than my competition due to my staging alone.

Stagers will tell you that houses can demand more money if they are properly staged.

What does that mean? Well, I have seen some real bad staging that actually cheapens the look of a house. Or, staging that doesn’t go with that type of property and it sends mixed messages to the senses.

Of course, if the market is super hot, most people won’t do it and I completely understand. What is the point?

Look at sales and see if houses are flying out the door or have long days on market. How long do you want to sit with a house not selling?

If you are going to sell a property, do everything in your power to get it to sell, even if it means staging it.
